Search engine ranking beats everything when it comes to making a website make money. Being able to increase your search engine ranking at will is more valuable than anything else. First off, before you get into complex coding or linking practices, the most important thing is to ensure that you have great content. Search engines look for sites that have great content and lots of it - large websites often get better rankings than small ones. In addition, make sure your site gets updated frequently.
The content must also be filled with relevant keywords. Try to think of what your desired visitors will type into the Google search bar.
